Eleonora Santos

Eleonora Santos is a researcher at the Centre of Applied Research in Management and Economics (CARME). She holds a PhD in Economics, from the Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra (2018). From 2005 to 2014, she was Adjunct Professor at the D. Dinis Higher Education Institute (ISDOM), where she coordinated and taught 14 Graduation Courses. She has participated in 5 national and international R&D projects at the universities of Coimbra, Aveiro and Porto and at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança.
She was awarded with 4 scholarships and 3 scientific merit awards from the University of Coimbra, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (Portugal), Oxford University (UK) / General Electric Healthcare Budapest (Hungary), Tokyo Foundation (Japan) and Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. Her scientific areas of interest and research are: Foreign Direct Investment, Economic Growth, Productivity, Industrial Organization, Tourism; Marine Economics and Health Economics. In addition, she has published several articles in the field of Medical Physics; has been nominated as a participant in the Fourth Technical Meeting on Modelling and Data for Radiological Impact Assessments (MODARIA) at the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. As of december 2020 she is a Project Reviewer from the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, in Belgrade.
