Research focus and expertise
My research focuses on the analysis of structural challenges faced by SMEs in securing traditional bank financing and the development of sustainable alternative financing models. Key areas of interest include:
• Non-bank financing models: Exploring the potential of FinTech, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending and asset-based financing as viable sources of capital for SMEs.
• Risk and sustainability: Applying the principles of risk assessment and long-term business sustainability (based on my experience with executive and consulting work) to assess the viability and stability of alternative financial structures.
• Economic resilience: Exploring how targeted financial strategies can increase the adaptability and growth of SMEs in the face of economic volatility and systemic threats.
