Agnė Šimelytė is associate professor at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, VIKO/Higher Educational institution, and General Jonas Žemaitis Military Academy of Lithuania. Her research interests cover FDI, economic growth, innovation, defence economics. and sustainable development. She holds PhD in Management from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. She is author or co-authors of more than 30 scientific articles, two handbooks, two monographs. In 2012 she received the award for the best scientific research of PhD students, in 2013 she received promotional scholarship for doctoral candidates from Research Council of Lithuania. A. Šimelytė gives lectures for bachelor and master students. She is the managing editor of the scientific journal “Business: theory and practice. She has participated in the following projects financed by European Union: 7th framework program (Marie Curie), International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES) FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IRSES, Grant Agreement Number 319017 SHuMED (2013-2015), „Enhancing Staff Research and Innovation Capacity in Professional Higher Education“ (RECAPHE), LLP/ Enterprise + project “Innovative potential meets experience”EEA Grants 2014-2021 – Baltic Research Programme – LIFT.
