Florina Bran

Florina BRAN he holds a PhD in both Economics and Geoecology. She is an Honorary Doctor of the “Danubius” University of Galati, Romania. In 1990 he began his university career at the Faculty of Agri-Food and Environmental Economics within Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Romania. As a sign of recognition and appreciation of the entire teaching and research activity, she was awarded the Diploma of Excellence of the Association of Romanian Faculties of Economics, the Diploma of Excellence Virgil Madgearu 2006, the Diploma Opera Omnia 2003, 2004 and 2005, the Diploma Nicolae Georgescu – Roegen. His publishing activity is rich and varied thematically, including countless studies, mainly didactic and research, in the field of Sustainable Development, Ecology and Environmental Protection. She has published over 75 specialty books and courses, as an author or co-author, over 400 articles, of which over 20 are ISI Thompson indexed articles, and has participated in 18 grants and 15 business research projects. Frequency and Time Forum Award, the Carl Zeiss Research Award, the William F. Meggers Award and the Adolph Lomb Medal (OSA). As a sign of recognition as a researcher in 2020, she was awarded the Nicholas Georgescu-Roengen Prize by the Romanian Academy.
