I am a 3rd-year student of the management doctoral program at Turibas University in Latvia. The topic of my future doctoral thesis is related to the improvement of the municipal budget planning process.
I have been a lecturer at Turiba University since 2003. I am a lecturer for the study courses Financial Information Analysis, Commercial Operations, Budget Planning, Public Finance Management.
I have a master’s degree in social sciences in economics at the Latvian Agricultural University , obtained in 2003. In 1991, I graduated from the Latvian Academy of Agriculture, majoring in accountant-economist.
I have work experience as the chief economist of the Cēsi District Board of Education – I know how to plan and calculate the salary of teaching staff.
From 1997-2004 and 2013-2018, I worked in municipalities as an economist, so I have experience in municipal budget planning and budget control.
On a daily basis, in parallel with my work as a lecturer, I manage the Turiba University Cesis branch.
