Rafał Buła, Ph.D. – assistant professor at the Department of Investment, Faculty of Finance, University of Economics in Katowice. His Ph.D. dissertation devoted to a fractal analysis of financial markets has been awarded by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority Chair as the best thesis defended in 2016 in finance. Co-author of business analyses assessing investment projects in the mining and energy industry. Research interests include investments, financial markets, risk assessment, fractal analysis and long-term discounting. Member of the Polish Economic Society, the Society for Benefit-Cost Analysis and the British Accounting and Finance Association. Manager of the Finance and Accounting for Business programme.
