Viera Sukalova, graduated at the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport and Communications Zilina ( specializing in the Operation and Economics of Road and Urban Transport) in 1984. From 1984 to 2003 she worked as an independent researcher at the Transport Research Institute in Zilina, also as the head of resort projects in the field of road transport legislation and transport company operation and also as a head of the Departmen of the Education and Development of Employees and International Cooperation in Science and Research. Since 2003 she has been working as an assistant professor at the University of Zilina ( in 2008 – Philosophie Doctor in Economics and Management). She lectures in the field of management, personnel management and labour protection at the University of Zilina and abroad; and also carries out research activities in these areas. She is the author of more than 200 scientific and professional publications.
